About Signature

Signature is a free online tool that lets you add your signature and text to PDF files. No sign-up, no account, no watermark, and no data leaves your browser.

The tool runs entirely on your device. When you upload a PDF, it is opened as a preview in your browser. Your signature, whether drawn in the signature pad or uploaded as an image, is placed directly into the PDF. The original file never reaches a server.

How it works

1. Upload a PDF file from your device.
2. Draw your signature in the signature pad, upload a signature image, or type text.
3. Drag elements to position them on the PDF page.
4. Download the signed PDF instantly, with no server processing.

Why we built it

Most free PDF signing tools either limit daily usage, watermark the output, or require creating an account. Signing services like DocuSign and HelloSign have free tiers with monthly limits, and their paid plans are overkill for signing a few documents. Signature fills a simple gap: a fast, free way to sign a PDF and download it, with no strings attached.

Who makes Signature

Signature is built and maintained by SEDI, a small team that creates simple web tools that run in the browser. Our other projects include the invoice generator and the SQL editor, alongside the SEDIHub site. We build these tools because the software we wanted was either too expensive, too cluttered, or collected too much of our data. If a tool is useful to us, it is probably useful to someone else, so we put it online for free.

Privacy

No PDF file or signature data is uploaded to any server. The entire process runs on your device. Once you close the tab, all data is gone. For full details, see the privacy policy.
